Twin Peaks Recipe

Bourbon named after a county in Kentucky, must be made from at least 51 per cent corn mash and is America’s most popular whiskey. It forms the basis of many more cocktails than its scotch cousin.

INGREDIENT:

4-6 cracked ice cubes

Dash of triple sec

2 measures bourbon

1 measure Benedictine

1 measure lime juice

Sliced lime, to decorate

METHOD:

1. Put the cracked ice cubes in the cocktail shaker. Dash triple sec over the ice and pour in the bourbon, Benedictine and lime juice. Shake vigorously until a frost forms.

2. Strain into a chilled highball glass and decorate with a slice of lime.
